For those of you who have no idea what camp looks like, here's my average day:
6:00am - wake up, shower and devotions
7:20am - rise and shine for the campers
8:00am - breakfast
8:30am - devotions with the campers
9:00am - chapel
10:00am-12:30pm - activities 1 and 2 (I teach riflery, archery, canoeing and swimming)
12:30pm - lunch
1:30pm - rejuvination time/counselor meeting
2:45pm - snack and swim
4:05pm - activity 3
5:30pm - dinner
6:00pm - chapel
7:00pm - special activities
8:00pm - snack bar
9:00 pm - showers/devotions
10-10:30pm - lights out
It's a full schedule - especially when you have eight 8-year olds to keep track of! It's so fun though :)
But there are sometimes when I want to be home - like today. I missed Father's Day and Will's Gotcha Day Anniversary this past week. The first that I've ever missed. I miss everyone so much! Today Will is particularly on my mind. And today I wish I could be with my family, but I know when it comes time to leave here I will not be ready. (Mom, Dad, want to move out here? (: )
I'm spending lots of time in the Bible right now. Jesus is the only way I'm making it through this summer. I've hit a point where I'm always tired, and I don't think I'll catch up on sleep any time during the rest of the summer. But that's okay. For this, I have Jesus :)
